Gingerbread Cookies | ||||||||||

Instructions Blend butter and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in the molasses. Add 1 cup flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg and blend. Add the remaining flour alternately with 1/3 cup water. It may be necessary to knead the last cup of flour by hand as the dough will be very stiff. Form the dough into a ball and cover with plastic wrap. Bake at 350 degrees until done. *Note- This dough works best when used immediately. |

Instructions In a large mixer bowl beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended. In medium bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture and blend well. Refrigerate dough about an hour or until firm enough to roll or mold. |

Instructions Candy coating is an excellent icing for cookies that dries quickly, taste great and is suitable for stacking. Great for kids! Use candy writers for details on cookies. Melt candy coating. Dip cookie in candy coating with a dipping fork. Place on parchment to set. Add sugars and sprinkles if desired. For a cookie with many colors: Melt candy writers. Paint on details. Add sugars. Allow color to set up before adding an adjoining color. Place on a silicone mat or parchment paper to set. |

Egg Wash Glaze Cookie Icing | |||||

Instructions Bake and cool cookies completely. Whisk the egg white until it is frothy. *Note it is best to use powdered egg whites to eliminate any risk of bacteria. Add the powdered sugar. Paint the cookie with this thin glaze. Allow to dry. Thin small amounts of food color with water. Use a paint brush to paint the cookies. |
